PARTNERSHIP WITH THE JANE GOODALL INSTITUTE AND “ROOTS AND SHOOTS
Our projects with “Roots and Shoots”
The Singing Tree has found a mentor in the person of Dr. Jane Goodall, anthropologist, international activist and Messenger of Peace for the United Nations.
Founded in 2020 by the young singer Nandita Natarajan, The Singing Tree is the first artistic project combining music, musical theatre, and acting as tools to raise awareness of human rights and the environment for youth in Switzerland and in France.
The project was born following the meeting between the founder, Nandita Natarajan and Dr. Jane Goodall in 2008. Nandita Natarajan then joined the “Roots and Shoots” movement of the Goodall Institute in the UK. Inspired by her mentor, Nandita Natarajan founded an artistic project a few years later thanks to “Roots & Shoots” youth program and the program Inspired Women Lead.
Today The Singing Tree collaborate with the Goodall Institute and “Roots & Shoots” in the context of environmental campaigns throughout the Lake Geneva region.
Our most recent projects in Switzerland:
“We sing for our land and mountains” – A musical project for the protection of glaciers in Switzerland – Summer 2021.
